VoiceXML (VXML)
VoiceXML (in short: VXML) is a standardised scripting language for creating voice applications. It was specially developed for voice applications and to link telephony with the internet. Telenet’s voice platforms offer VoiceXML as a further optional development environment. It is based on the range of functions of the VoiceXML standard version 2.0, an international programming language that was standardised by the World Wide Web Consortium W3C. With Voice XML providers can operate voice sites, which provide fast and easy telephone access to information on a web server.
